The Sweetwater Marina project includes ample dockage, two large rack-supported boat barns, a two-story boater’s lounge, large capacity boat lift, over 10 acres of storage, and a 12,000 square foot tiki hut restaurant between the river and the resort-style swimming pool.
Fowler secured the very difficult and highly controversial entitlements and permits for this gambling cruise ship, including representing our clients before the Governor and Cabinet, and then designed and built the heavy pier structure and terminal operations facilities. The pier also serves as a protective barrier to the over-water restaurant (also built by Fowler).
Fowler Construction represented the new owner of this property when, shortly after purchase, it was discovered that it was not actually permitted as a marina. Fowler was able to re-establish the marina entitlements and the marina now includes extensive docks, boat ramp, hoistway, over-water ship’s store, and rack-supported boat storage.
Fowler was selected by Lee County to provide Construction Management services to reconstruct the most iconic facility in the area.
