This highly anticipated riverfront restaurant is anything but conventional. With almost 12,000 square feet of traditionally built chickee hut structure covering a wood deck seating area that is sandwiched between the resort-style pool and the Caloosahatchee River, this second installation of the popular Boathouse Restaurant concept is expected to be a popular destination by land and sea.
The Green Flash
Built on the site of Timmy’s Nook, a Captiva landmark, The Green Flash restaurant had to become a landmark of its own as soon as it opened for business. This required a building that would utilize the site’s views across Pine Island Sound in conjunction with an interior space that reflected the islands upscale resort style. The resulting project succeeded in capitalizing on the design criteria and the restaurant has indeed become a landmark of its own to residents, tourist, and boaters alike.
