Fort Myers Beach Fire Department – Station 32
Fort Myers Beach Fire Station # 32 is a 14,000 square foot, three-story fire station located at 17891 San Carlos Boulevard. The existing metal building fire station was demolished and the site conditions were remediated to provide sufficient bearing for the new structure. When complete, the hardened building will serve as the District emergency command center during evacuations of Estero and San Carlos Islands. Fowler also worked with the District to temporarily relocate fire personnel to the nearby Coast Guard Station during the project.
Fort Myers Shores Fire District
Fowler Construction was challenged to provide a solution to the District’s need to balance modern functionality into an antiquated building with a constricted site. The project located at 12345 Palm Beach Boulevard was the sole point of service for the District, requiring a solution that also provided for continuous operation. Fowler devised a two-story renovation and restructuring plan that worked within the building shell and structure providing modern, separate administrative office space downstairs and comfortable living quarters above. Fowler also negotiated and permitted temporary living quarters on site during construction and renovated the façade to compliment the new interior.
Fort Myers Beach Town Hall
Continuing a decades long presence on Fort Myers Beach, Fowler Construction completed a major renovation and expansion of Fort Myers Beach Town Hall receiving rave reviews from all. As the CM-Agent for the Town, Fowler fast-tracked the project delivery including resolving many issues with the antiquated building shell while maintaining full, uninterrupted operations for Town staff, Council, and the public.
Fort Myers Beach Public Library
Considerable permitting issues complicated the reconstruction and expansion of this community library. To address some of these issues the structure was built on the original foundations of the single story building that formerly housed the library. The floor level was raised nearly seven feet and the new building was designed to work within tight property constraints. Surrounded by the community elementary school and community recreation complex, the library is the most recognizable landmark in what is now the Town of Fort Myers Beach.
